Thursday 13th April 10am – 4pm in the Samsung Digital Discovery Centre Design a mask inspired by objects from ancient Egypt in this free, drop-in event. Discover headpieces from ancient Egypt, then use tablets to create your own striking design, using different colours to convey your family’s personality. Work with artist Dr Sadegh Aleahmad to explore, play and reflect on ideas inspired by the free exhibition, ‘Nalini Malani: My Reality is Different‘.
See paintings in a different way during morning sessions, through play with mirrors and experiments with drawing techniques or transform your sketches into 3D drawings to cast performing shadows in afternoon sessions.
As this event is limited in capacity, other resources and drawing materials will also be available in Room 30 for you to pick up and to help you explore the National Gallery. This event is available on a first come, first served basis through a sign-up sheet process in Room 30 from 11am. Although this event does not require online booking in advance, you will need to book a free Gallery entry ticket to gain admission to the National Gallery. Each adult and child over the age of 12 months requires a ticket. We encourage you to book ahead of your visit.
